                                       THE CALLER

                                                        

     Sue as pictured above  has a wealth of  experience calling at all types  of events.
    She is friendly  and humorous.  Her  instructions are quick, clear and simple so       
    everyone can be up and dancing  with ease. She regularly calls dances at weddings, 
    schools, parties and other  special  occasions.  The emphasis is always on fun and  
    enjoyment, everyone  has a ball. Some of your guests may never have been to a           Ceilidh, no problem. Sue will have them up and dancing, in no time at all. 


Whenever possible Sue with her boundless energy and radio mic is on the dance floor keeping it all together.



                                                


                                            THE BAND


The Band was formed ten years ago. Since the Mindset Ceilidh have become a major
influence on the Ceilidh scene. One of the top bands in the UK the line up is violin, accordion and guitar. The repertoire crosses many musical styles whilst maintaining a traditional sound. We produce a very full sound as three musicians. The violin takes the lead whilst the accordionist's right keyboard plays chords and harmony parts. The accordionist's left hand buttons are bass boosted to give a rich deep sound. The guitar blends with both instruments adding exciting and creative improvisations, also the dynamic use of live midi interface on the guitar adding brass arrangements, flute lead and harmony parts as well as other instruments to the overall sound. The music really comes alive.

It's often said.
"The sound of the band so full do we use pre-recorded backing tracks"?
Never, the music is 100% live.
